What are you paying for postage stamps?

In Chino you can pick up a postage stamp for $345K. Included in the purchase price is a 2103 sq/ft, 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath home. This home and it's teenie weenie lot (3102 sq/ft) were purchased Sept 2005 for $504k. The bank is trying to unload this now for $345k. A rather unimpressive (by this blogs standards) 32% fall in 2.5 years. Of course peak prices were a year later so this thing was probably worth $650k around the summer of 06.

By the way, another fine composition by the photographer. Way to make the mail box stick out like a sore thumb! Just a suggestion, next time take the shot from the other direction and leave out the mailbox.

I guess a 3000 sq/ft lot is great if you hate yard work.

Is that a mailbox or a power transformer?

There might be one of each. I think the big black thing is the mailbox for the street. The green box behind that looks like some kind of utility box.

No way I'd be paying more than $230k for that house.

$230k, that's generous but then again, I'm Scottish and I don't like to overpay for anything.

Was my offer too generous? I didn't want to sound too cheap, but I was really thinking less than $200k as my final offer. Would the seller be offended by that?

"Would the seller be offended by that?"

Who gives a shit. I'm offended by their asking price, do you think they care?

I have a special request for an area, (Getting transfered) how is Ontario doing? And sense you guys now about crime is it a safe area?

Ontario is an average area as far as crime. It has rough areas and you will want to stay away from those. North Ontario is not too bad, I'd stay away from anything South of the 10 fwy, that's where most of the rough areas are. Ontario is getting hammered like the rest of the IE. RENT for now.

I work in downtown Ontario, so if you want to email me and we can chat. You can email me at sweet briar girl at gmail.com. Just run those first three words together into one word and, of course change "at" to @. Just trying to avoid the spambot harvesters.
